    Comments, Additional Information, References

Used as a schoolhouse until 1847 when the Union Schoolhouse was built. John Mills bought the old stone school on Throop street which served both as his home and his shoe shop, then by Owen Burns as a stave mill and cooper shop and/or "Burns Bros Cooper Shop", and later by Harvey Bump as a residence.
